British promoter Eddie Hearn has officially confirmed the information about the postponement of the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) from July 23 to August. At the same time, Eddie, unlike yesterday’s insider, announced two possible dates for the fight at once.

“July 23rd was the intended date,” Hearn recalls to DAZN, “but we’ve reached the point where it’s less than seven weeks away. That being said, we have (planned) global media tours, we need to sort out TV rights and international sponsorship deals. In general, you will see this fight in August. 13th or 20th.

“We sign papers literally in real time, so an official announcement is waiting for you soon,” the functionary promises 100,500 times. – The international media tour starts on June 20th or something like that. The fight will take place in the Middle East, it looks like everything is ready with this. The rest will be announced during the announcement, it’s already close.”

Recall that on September 25 last year in England, Ukrainian Usyk confidently outboxed Briton Joshua on points, taking away his WBA, WBO and IBF world titles.

The day before, Usyk appeared in “happy green”, and a little earlier, the new coach Joshua spoke about his overwhelming motivation.
