On December 11, as part of the boxing evening in Omaha (USA), the main event of which will be the fight between Terence Crawford and David Avanesyan, 30-year-old Ukrainian featherweight (up to 57.2 kg) Arnold Khegay (18-1-1, 11 KOs) will hold the second fight in 2022, meeting with the Mexican Eduardo Baez (21-3-2, 7 KOs).

On the eve of the fight, Khegai spoke about the preparation and the importance of the upcoming event for his career.

“I’ve been waiting for this moment my entire career and I’m grateful to BLK Prime for the opportunity to be on this show,” says Arnold. “I work tirelessly in the gym, with several incredible sparring partners helping me prepare. I’m in amazing shape and I’m ready to put on my best fight.”

“Baez is a very good fighter who could very well be a world champion. I think he beat Navarrete until he conceded. It is this kind of fight that will allow me to become a legitimate top contender in my division. I am sure that we will give the fans the best fight of the evening.”

“Hopefully the win will get me even better fights against guys I would like to face in the ring like Robeisi Ramirez, Isaac Dogbo and other top guys. I would like to fight the best and beating someone as tough as Baez should open up new career opportunities for me.”
