Hearn also remembered the most popular lightweight fighter: “It’s different with Ryan Garcia. It is the most popular, but not really tested at the top level. Yes, he has a victory over Luke Campbell, but in that fight he was still knocked down. The question is, can he compete with fighters like Haney and Davis? Commercially, the biggest fight in the division is Davis vs. Garcia. The thing is, they have the biggest fan base.”
The promoter does not exclude that the ex-hegemon of the division remains the best in 61.2 kg: “We should not forget about Vasily Lomachenko. I do not rule out that he could beat all of the above fighters. After all, he lost to Teofimo Lopez, boxing with an injured shoulder. On the other hand, it is worth paying tribute to Lopez. In a word, this is just a great division. Add George Kambosos to them, because we will not write him off after one defeat. It would be great if they finally started to fight among themselves.”
