Russian heavyweight Grigory Ponomarev, who is recovering from a knee injury in his ACA Grand Prix quarterfinal bout against Mukhumat Vakhaev, commented on the unexpected defeat of two-time Olympic freestyle wrestling champion Abdulrashid Sadulaev, who was unable to finish his semifinal bout at the World Championships in Belgrade due to a neck injury.

Last Monday, 27-year-old Abdulrashid Sadulaev failed to reach the final of the world championship in the 97 kg weight category, refusing to continue his bout with 20-year-old pupil of his school Akhmed Tajudinov, representing Bahrain.
