World champion in two versions in the middleweight (up to 72.6 kg) Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs) teases Mexican boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs): he says that he allegedly I waited as long as possible before their third fight in order to “age” the age Kazakhstani as much as possible – and it’s easier to beat him.

“Even though it’s been a long time between our last fight and this one, it’s been four years, I’m glad that Canelo didn’t wait until I was 50 to agree to a third fight,” GGG ironically. “Although for a while it seemed that it was just very likely.”

The Kazakhstani says that it would be wrong to compare the upcoming third fight with the last two, because a lot of time has passed since then.

“Now everything is different. What matters is what we do during the three months of preparation. Boxing is evolving all the time. We are trying something new with the coach,” said the Kazakhstani. “I feel more mature and experienced.”

The coach, by the way, told how he wants to see Gennady in the third fight with Canelo. Their fight is scheduled for September 17th.

While GGG is trying something new, Canelo, on the eve of the fight with Golovkin, “mows down” under Klitschko.
