On September 17 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the opening act for the third fight of Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Gennady “GGG” Golovkin, an exciting fight in the super middleweight (up to 76.2 kg) – 36-year-old American veteran Gabriel Rosado (26-15-1, 15 KOs) will fight for the IBF North American champion title with 27-year-old Kazakh Ali Akhmedov (18-1, 14 KOs).

Akhmedov picked up a couple of minor victories in 2021 to get back on track after losing a 12th-round knockout to Carlos Gongora in December 2020.

As for Rosado, he boxed three times over the past year: he sensationally knocked out prospect Bektemir Melikuziev, was outboxed by Jaime Mungia, and in the spring of 2022 lost on points to Shane Mosley’s son.
