Kickboxers expelled because of the war that Russia unleashed in Ukraine
The famous kickboxing promotion Glory fired all fighters from Russia. This decision was made due to the military invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine.
The organization reports that it “faced a number of obstacles that made it impossible for Russian athletes to fight, including logistical bans, security concerns, blocking money transfers in the face of global financial sanctions against Russia, and the unwillingness of rivals to compete with the Russians.”
