Gillespie harshly criticized Ferguson for refusing to fight: “In a fight, I would have bent you too!”

Top UFC fighter American Gregor Gillespie criticized former interim UFC lightweight champion Tony Ferguson for refusing to fight.

Shortly after the refusal, Ferguson challenged ex-Bellator champion and former UFC title contender Michael Chandler to a fight.

“Just got word from my manager that Tony Ferguson will not accept a fight against me,” Gillespie said on his Instagram. “Then I see you online, Tony, and you call fucking Michael Chandler and you say it’s wrestling season. Dude, you know I’m a fighter. I beat the crap out of Mike Chandler in college, and in wrestling I would have bent you too. If you’re looking for a fighter, bro, take the fight.”

“I need to start walking up the stairs and none of you guys seem to want to fucking fight me. Tony, the two of us have no fights yet,” Gillespie continued. – It’s time, bro. Let’s just fucking do it. Calling up fucking Chandler, saying it’s wrestling season… Get the hell out of here, bro. I am a fighter.”

The 34-year-old Gillespie has 14 wins and 1 loss and is currently #10 in the UFC lightweight rankings.

The 37-year-old Ferguson has 25 wins and 6 losses. The former interim champion is ranked 7th in the UFC lightweight division.
