A superfight tentatively scheduled for December between popular American lightweights Gervonta Davis (27-0, 25 KOs) and Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs) may not take place, as Tank has serious problems with the law that threaten him with prison term.
In November 2020, Gervonta Davis ran a red light, got into an accident and fled the scene. As a result of the incident, 4 people were injured, including a pregnant woman.
The boxer tried to resolve the incident – he agreed with the rest of the victims. But the testimony of the woman convinced the judge to refuse “Tank” Davis – the boxer pleaded guilty and asked for a pre-trial settlement. Now Gervonta will appear before the court – he faces a prison term.
By
words injured, she suffered a knee injury and as a result of an accident she had to undergo bladder surgery: “I begged Mr. Davis, looked into his eyes. She asked for help, saying that I needed to go home to my daughter, that I was pregnant. But he didn’t even try to help. He just left the scene of the accident.
The victim’s lawyer claims that his client does not want compensation from the boxer: “The only option that will satisfy her is if Davis is taken into custody. Only then will he realize his guilt.”
Meanwhile, Floyd Mayweather’s trainer claims that Ryan Garcia has no chance against Tank Davis, and the legendary champion failed to determine a favorite in this fight.
