WBC / WBA / WBO world welterweight champion (up to 66.7 kg) American Errol Spence (28-0, 22 KOs) commented on the statement of the invariably self-confident lightweight (up to 61.2 kg) Gervonta “Tank” Davis ( 27-0, 25 KOs), according to which he would knock out another welterweight champion Terence Crawford (39-0, 30 KOs) if they had a chance to cross in the ring.
Spence does not consider such an outcome impossible, noting the noble striking power of Gervonta.
“That would be a good fight. The tank might chug,” Spence noted. – Tank has such power that he can slam anyone if he applies a clean blow. I think it’s going to be a damn good fight – I totally agree with Tank on that.”
Recall that Davis’ next entry into the ring is scheduled for January 7 – in the main event of the boxing evening in Washington (USA), he will defend the WBA World title against the unbeaten Dominican Hector Luis Garcia.
Crawford made a recent appearance, defending his WBO title on December 10 against David Avanesyan, who was knocked out in the 6th round.
And Spence, meanwhile, got into another serious accident, because of which he will be forced to postpone his return to the ring.
By the way, Spence praised Crawford for Avanesyan.
