Having confidently won a prospect-clash against Dominican Michel Rivera, 27-year-old American lightweight (up to 61.2 kg) Frank Martin (17-0, 12 KOs) expressed a desire to sharply increase the level of opposition in the spring of next year and fight with compatriot Gervonta Davis (27 -0.25 KOs).
“We [с Дэвисом] could come out, – Frank answered the question of whether he was ready to challenge Gervonte if his mega-fight against Garcia failed. “It’s going to be a good, explosive fight between two fast fighters.”
Davis doesn’t seem to mind that option. He reacted to Martin’s readiness to fight like this:
“Yeah, ready to go to sleep. They are all (to me) food.”
Recall that Davis’ next entry into the ring is scheduled for January 7 – in the main event of the boxing evening in Washington (USA), he will defend the WBA World title against Dominican Hector Luis Garcia.
