Kazakh world middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs) believes that the Mexican Canelo Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) as a boxer has become noticeably better since September 2018, when they crossed in the ring during the second and last time so far.

And Gennady has an interesting explanation for this.

“Yes, I agree (with the fact that Alvarez is now a better fighter compared to himself as a model of revenge, approx. WMMAA). Before the last two fights, I said that whoever wins among us will have an amazing career and will go far. This is exactly what happened as a result,” said Golovkin.

“Canelo looks better compared to 2018 because his opponents paled in comparison to me,” said the Kazakhstani. “Champions are champions, of course. But some champions are better than others.”

Recall that the third fight between Alvarez and Golovkin is scheduled for September 17 in Las Vegas.

In turn, Canelo Alvarez was going to surprise Gennady Golovkin.
