On September 17, Las Vegas (USA) will host the third fight between Mexican Saul Canelo Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) and Kazakhstani Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs) – this time they will fight for all titles super middleweight.

The previous fights between the enemies took place in the lower division in 2017-2018: at first, a draw was recorded, and the Mexican won the rematch. And there was also a sensational story about a failed doping test by Canelo – he got caught clenbuterol. Since then, respect for each other has gone, and Saul even claims that “between them is personal” and that “Golovkin constantly says all sorts of shit about him.”

Kazakh speaks: “I always stand by my words. Please note that I never made any assumptions about him, only facts. And the facts are as follows: he was caught doping, he is constantly looking for excuses, he blames other people for his failures. How to call it? I would call it clown behavior. And they behave as if once caught doping – this does not count at all. Maybe they’re pissed that I’m not in their pajama club…?

According to the challenger, Canelo’s “pajama club” includes the fighter, his trainer Eddie Reynoso and promoter Eddie Hearn. It turns out that Golovkin is very unhappy Matchroom Boxing and streaming DAZN. Believes that they are too loyal to the Mexican. But it is possible that the whole thing is in contractual arrangements – earlier in DAZN forced the champion to greatly moderate his financial appetites, abandoned the show of his promotional company GGG Promotions.

Now Golovkin hints that they do not understand the boxing business very well: “The situation must first be carefully studied and then analyzed. They don’t worry me much. I can say about them in the words of one outstanding athlete: “They just don’t know shit about boxing.” Yes, I think so. I hoped that by working together, I could help them reach a new level of understanding of this sport.”

Golovkin admits that Canelo knows how to learn from his failures, so he is in for a difficult fight: “He has proven that he can learn from his mistakes. He is not one of those who step on the same rake twice. But, on the other hand, you need to carefully analyze his defeat to Dmitry Bivol … “

In May, Canelo tried to take the WBA Super belt from Russian light heavyweight Bivol, but lost by decision. Yesterday, the Mexican named the toughest puncher in his career and again spoke about a rematch with Bivol.
