Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles, USA. In the main event of the show in the super lightweight limit (up to 63.5 kg), the eternal contender American fought Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs) and ex-world champion two divisions below the Dominican Javier Fortuna (37-4-1, 26 KOs).

The fight began as expected. The favorite took the center of the ring, jabbed aggressively and hard, often doubled, rarely used his right hand. Southpaw Fortuna circled around Garcia, looking for an opportunity to launch a wide overhand. I made several attempts, but they were not very successful.

The underdog started the second three-minute period more aggressively, even tried to combine. He scored a couple of accurate jabs, tried to punch through the body, missed a right straight to the head in response. In the 3rd round, Fortuna brought the left overhand to the target, but Garcia was not impressed by the opponent’s striking power.

In the 4th three-minute period, the favorite pressed on. A left hook to the body forced the Dominican to take a knee and spit out the mouthguard. Before the gong, Fortuna took a beating. I really had to cycle.

In the 5th round, Garcia dropped his opponent with a right hook. He jumped to his feet, continued the fight, tried to snap.

In the 6th three-minute period, Fortuna landed on canvas for the third time. The referee decided that enough was enough. Underdog didn’t mind much.
