Top American coach Robert Garcia claims that soon another fighter from his “stable” will make a significant bid for the “breakthrough of the year”.

The thing is that there is now increased attention to the young trainees of the coach after the triumph of the 22-year-old WBC super flyweight champion Jesse Rodriguez (16-0, 11 KOs) – a fighter stylistically similar to Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko at the weekend in his native San Antonio (USA) effortlessly dealt with the legendary ex-pound fighter Srisaket Sor Rungvisai (50-6-1, 43 KOs) from Thailand.

Garcia demonstrates incredible confidence in his talent: “Rodriguez just needed a chance to show everything that he is much for. And promoter Eddie Hearn gave us that opportunity.”

In gratitude for this, Rodriguez extended his contract with Matchroom Boxing Hearn.

According to Garcia, Rodriguez’s older brother, WBA World champion Joshua Franco (18-1-2, 8 KOs) is also ready to prove that he is an elite-level fighter: “He just needs a chance to prove it.” Now he is negotiating a fight with the leader of the division, Mexican Juan Francisco Estrada (42-3, 28 KOs).

Garcia announced the breakthrough of another of his pupils: “Raymond Murataglia. Remember this name. He will perform July 15 on ESPN+.”

25-year-old American lightweight Muratalia is on a streak of 9 straight wins. In the previous fight, he inflicted a debut early defeat on his compatriot
Jeremy Hill. The name of his next opponent has not yet been announced.

Robert Garcia is known for taking care of not only established boxers, but also children – the other day, his wards showed themselves cool at regional SoCal tournament – 10 finalists and 6 champions.

And Garcia has a very difficult challenge ahead – he will try to help British heavyweight Anthony Joshua get even with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk for the September defeat. Three championship belts are at stake. Interestingly, the mentor had never had a heavyweight champion before.

We do not know what Usyk will do, Robert honestly admitted.
