Russian welterweight Gadzhi Omargadzhiev was among the eleven fighters who left the roster of the strongest league in the world.
The 29-year-old Russian received a contract with the UFC in 2021, having won an early victory in the Dana White’s Contender Series qualifying show, however, he then suffered two defeats in a row in the organization, losing by a technical decision in the third round to the Brazilian Cayo Borrallo, and losing by unanimous decision to his compatriot Abubakar Nurmagomedov.
Prior to his unsuccessful run in the UFC, Gadzhi Omargadzhiev was undefeated and had thirteen consecutive victories as a professional.
Along with the Russian fighter, Brandon Davis, Vince Morales, Kevin Natividad, Raulian Paiva, Alejandro Perez, Jay Perrin, Marcelo Rojo, Ludvik Sholinyan, Michael Trizano and Sijara Eubanks were fired from the organization.
