The bronze medalist of the Olympic Games, who never took place at the top level of heavyweight David Price, quite found himself in the role of an analyst in boxing. The Briton expects WBC champion Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) to use his considerable size and veteran hardening to defeat Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs), holder of IBF belts, in unification for the status of fighter No. 1 , WBA and WBO.
In the past two fights, Usyk has used technique, mobility and speed to outbox the massive Anthony Joshua in two fights.
“When Joshua pushed Usyk and tried to use his size instead of stagnating and having some sort of chess match, I think he was exhausting his opponent in a rematch,” Price said.
ID Boxing. “What Fury does best is use his size, which is one of his biggest strengths.”
Price says that although he himself is taller than Tyson, when he started to lean on boxing, it went to the detriment of the use of the overall advantage, and this can be seen in Fury’s fights with Derek Chisora, and his fight with him. Three years ago, David, recall, came out against Derek, but as usual was passive, missed, spent his strength and flew ahead of schedule in the 4th round.
Tyson once called Price an “oak idiot”
“[Фьюри] an expert in how to be hefty and I think he will successfully apply it with Usyk. He will constantly hang on him, fight dirty, and I think he will win in an ugly fight. Perhaps the victory of Fury on points, ”he predicted.
Let’s recall what Price’s prediction was for Usyk and Joshua’s rematch: “I bet on a late knockout.”
David also revealed how he dropped Joshua: “AJ couldn’t get himself back on his feet.”
