Fury wants to fight Usyk at Wembley: ‘It’s perfect, but…’

British WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) would like to have a unification fight with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs), who holds all other belts in the division, in London (England) at Wembley stadium. But, apparently, the battle will still take place in the Middle East.

words Fury, “It is in Britain that the coolest boxing fans. And if you are planning a real fight, then it certainly needs to be organized in England. For me, the ideal place to fight Usyk is Wembley Stadium. We would have gathered a huge number of fans, but, alas, not everything depends on my Wishlist. Promoters Frank Warren and Bob Arum are leaning towards the Middle East option. We are waiting for confirmation of the transaction.

Fury urges the parties to hurry: “We have very little time left before a million sanctioning bodies start playing Usyk and imposing their mandatory challengers on him. If we don’t do it quickly, we never will. The last heavyweight absolute was Lennox Lewis. Our fight with Usyk for all the division belts will take place either in the East or here.”

In the same interview, Fury revealed the plan for the fight with Alexander: “I’ll hunt down and smash.” The other day, the boxer, whom Usyk looked up to, shared his forecast for this fight.
