The promoter of the WBC world heavyweight champion British Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) Frank Warren confirmed the intention of the ward to make a voluntary title defense against compatriot and former champion Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) by the end of this year .
According to the functionary, the proposal has already been formed and should not cause rejection from Anthony’s side.
“We were the ones who initiated giving Joshua the opportunity to return to the top level against world champion Tyson,” Warren said. “He (Fury) wants to do a self-defense, so today we will send our proposal, which they will have to consider and decide if they want to grab it with both hands.”
