With a high degree of probability, the absolute heavyweight champion will be determined in February 2023 – the owners of all belts in the division Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) and Briton Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) are ready for a head-to-head fight.

Former WBA Super, IBF and WBO World Champion Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs)
confessedthat in this confrontation he will root for his compatriot: “On the night of the battle, my sympathies will be on the side of Fury.”

Joshua suffered two defeats in a row against Usyk. The fiasco in revenge slightly crippled the Briton. Immediately after the ring announcer announced the score, Joshua did not behave very adequately – he threw the belts out of the ring, grabbed the microphone.

“You saw what happened to me in the last fight? – recalls the ex-champion. You have seen how important all this is to me. Right? Whether you like it or not, it’s all my passion. This is why I box. I like to fight. And I do it with passion. I hate losing. And I really wanted to return the belts to Britain and fight for the title of the absolute. It was my passion, my obsessive dream. I could not get. And that defeat just destroyed me.”

Joshua had the opportunity to fight for Fury’s WBC belt immediately after Usyk, but negotiations stalled. The champion claims: “I have nothing to do with it, it’s all another idiot.” In the meantime, Joshua shared his thoughts on Fury, Chisora, White and the new coach.
