Against the background of the defeat of the legendary Filipino Manny Pacquiao in the presidential elections in his homeland, there were rumors about the possible return of the 43-year-old “Pacman” to the ring.

In particular, Briton Amir Khan announced the proposal to fight against Pacquiao.

However, the almost permanent coach of the Filipino Freddie Roach doubts that Manny will return.

“I think he is done with boxing. I don’t think he has anything else to prove. He already did everything he could. He doesn’t owe anyone anything,” Roach says. “But if he does decide to come back and get in the ring again, I hope he chooses me as a coach. I would love to help him and wish him only the best. But his wife and others don’t want him to come back. What else is there to prove to him?

“Now Manny travels, he likes to visit different cities. And his family travels with him. He loves the job… His wife doesn’t want him back in the ring, from what I’ve heard. And if he calls me and asks for my opinion, I will tell him: “You no longer need to prove anything to anyone in the world,” Freddie added.

At the same time, this year Pacquiao still seems to enter the ring to hold an exhibition fight against the South Korean martial artist Dee Kay Yo.
