Former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou, did not miss the successful performance of Jon Jones, who dealt with Cyril Gan in two minutes and won the vacant title left by the Cameroonian.
“Good job Johnny boy. Sincerely yours, King of the heavyweights,” the Predator wrote on the social network.
Jones publicly responded to the failed opponent at a press conference after the UFC 285 tournament.
“Francis is a big old cowardly ass,” the American told reporters who asked him to comment on Ngannou’s remarks.
According to the UFC plan, Jon Jones was supposed to make his debut in the heavyweight division with a duel against Francis Ngannou, however, the organization failed to agree with the Cameroonian to extend the contract, as a result of which the Frenchman Cyril Gan became the opponent of the American fighter, who lost to Jones by guillotine choke in the first round.
