Francis Ngannou’s coach names the key to beating Tyson Fury

Francis Ngannou’s trainer, Eric Nixick, who is involved in preparing the Cameroonian for his fight with Tyson Fury, is well aware that they will not be able to outbox “The Gypsy King” in classic fashion.

“I think it’s important to realize that if we try to out-box Tyson Fury, out-jab him and out-move him on the feet, we’re going to lose,” the American said in an interview with MMA Junkie. “Our approach has to be a little more unpredictable and a little more relevant to MMA and the things we’re working on in his mixed martial arts career.”

“I talked to a lot of friends in the industry who understand more about boxing than I do and who I trust completely before suggesting this to Francis, and he showed understanding and receptiveness to what I was trying to convey to him. We’ll see if he manages to capitalize on that or not, but I think some of these things can work out”

Earlier, Mike Tyson, who is also involved in preparing the former UFC champion for the fight, said that their main objective is to deliver the one-two punch that will decide the fate of the match.

Recall that the ten-round boxing bout between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou will take place on October 28 in Riyadh and will have professional status, however, the WBC heavyweight championship belt of the WBC, owned by the Briton, will not be on the line this time.
