Francis Ngannou is outraged by the UFC’s action

Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, who left the world’s strongest league as a free agent earlier this year, has accused the organization of trying to erase him from its history.

The heavyweight’s outrage was sparked by the fact that welterweight Tafon Nchakwi, who took part in last weekend’s UFC on ESPN 51 event, was featured as “the only Cameroonian fighter in UFC history.” The corresponding inscription appeared in the information line during the Cameroonian’s entrance into the octagon.

“Thierry Sokoudjou was the first Cameroonian in the UFC. I was the second. Don’t let them lie and erase history,” “The Predator” wrote on social media.

Ngannou also posted a photo of himself holding the UFC championship belt in one hand and a Cameroonian flag in the other.

Note that the Cameroonian heavyweight failed to part ways with the promotion on a friendly note, and UFC president, Dana White, categorically ruled out the possibility of Francis Ngannou returning to the organization’s roster.

Shortly after leaving the UFC, Francis Ngannou signed with the PFL league, where he is set to make his debut next year. Before returning to mixed martial arts, “The Predator” will test his boxing skills against reigning WBC world boxing champion Tyson Fury, with whom he will share the ring on October 28 in Riyadh.
