Francis Ngannou called the reason for the defeat of Kamaru Usman

The defeat of Kamaru Usman in a title rematch with Leon Edwards is due to the fact that injuries did not allow the former UFC welterweight champion to fully prepare for the fight, says a close friend of the Nigerian Francis Ngannou.

“I know he didn’t train,” the former UFC heavyweight champion stated in a video posted to his YouTube channel. “I know that he didn’t train properly due to a lot of injuries, but he went into the fight and this is already a victory. He showed that he became mentally stronger. Let’s see what happens next, but I believe that he will regain the title.”

Immediately after the fight, the Cameroonian supported his friend on social networks.

“You are a champion with or without a piece of metal, my brother,” wrote the Predator, referring to Usman. “Your legacy is already inscribed in the history of sports”

Recall that the title fight, which headlined the UFC 286 tournament in London last weekend, went the whole distance and ended with the victory of the Briton by a majority of judges’ votes.
