The day before, Francis Ngannou and Anthony Joshua had a final battle of glances at the official weigh-in ceremony, with the Cameroonian showing 123.6 kg (272.6 lbs) and the Brit recording 114.5 kg (252.4 lbs).
According to the plan of the organizers of the match, its winner will become the main contender for the fight with the absolute world champion in heavyweight boxing, which will be determined on May 18 in the confrontation between Tyson Fury and Alexander Usik. The Briton and the Ukrainian will unify the championship belts in the same arena, where Ngannou and Joshua will have to settle the relationship.
