49-year-old Russian fighter Maxim Novoselov, who was arrested in March of this year as part of a criminal case of battery and rape, will spend the next five years in a penal colony with a strict regime.
The corresponding decision was made today by the Tushinsky Court of Moscow.
During the preliminary investigation and judicial investigation, Novoselov pleaded not guilty.
According to investigators, on the night of March 27, 2022, in one of the entertainment venues in the Moscow region, Novoselov met an 18-year-old girl, put her in his car under the pretext of taking her home, and later raped her, after beating her.
“Maxim Novoselov was sentenced to five years in prison to be served in a strict regime correctional colony for committing rape (part 1 of article 131 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and sexual assault (part 1 of article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Recall that in 1993, Maxim Novoselov was sentenced to fourteen years in prison on charges of murder, and in 2012 received three years in prison for participating in the drug business. In 2019, “Mad Max” was detained on suspicion of robbery, however, the case did not reach the court.
