A unification fight in the second featherweight (up to 59 kg) has just taken place in Las Vegas (USA): the Mexican Oscar Valdes (30-1, 23 KOs) lost without options to the American Shakur Stevenson (18-0, 9 KOs) – now he owns the WBC and WBO belts.
The fight turned out to be easy to count – the judges agreed on estimates in 8 out of 12 rounds.
The match was officiated by Tim Cheatham (117-110), Dave Moretti (118-109) and David Sutherland (118-109).
