On Saturday in London (England), the unified light heavyweight champion playing for Canada, Russian Artur Beterbiev (18-0, 18 KOs) will fight with the WBO mandatory challenger Briton Anthony Yard (23-2, 22 KOs).

Top mentor there Joe Gallagher soberly
appreciated challenger chances: “Great fight. I’m looking forward to it. Beterbiev is very good. I don’t think Yard can surprise him with anything. I don’t think he will be able to show something that the champion has not seen before. But he still has a chance. After all, no one has yet managed to escape from the influence of time. And no one knows for sure in what battle it will overtake Beterbiev. And suddenly it will happen in this duel? We’ll find out soon…”

According to Gallagher, “Yard is an underdog in a duel with Beterbiev, but by no means hopeless. But I would bet on the champion. I think it’s a really good fight.”

A British expert recently stated that Yard has a fantastic chance to beat Beterbiev. They also asked the champion about his readiness to fight Usyk.
