Tonight in Washington (USA), local top welterweight contender Jaron Ennis (29-0, 27 KOs) will play Ukrainian Karen Chukhadzhyan (21-1, 11 KOs) for the vacant interim IBF title.

Ennis – Chukhadzhyan. You won’t be ashamed — preview from vRINGe

On the eve of the fight, the favorite compared himself with the legendary compatriot Mike Tyson: “I can’t wait for the fight. I want to enter the ring, record another bright knockout in my asset, thereby declaring myself to the whole world. I’m like Tyson. It seems that I don’t chase knockouts during the fight, but if there is a chance, I won’t miss it. And I’m not afraid to overwhelm the opponent at the start of the fight. Everyone knows that I close and break the distance with the agility of a robber. Yes, I’m like a new version of Tyson. I do not hide the fact that I borrowed some things from him. So it will be fun. There will be fireworks.”

The owner of a full-fledged belt (more precisely, three belts) in this weight, Ennis’s compatriot Errol Spence, made it clear to the applicant that the fight with him is not yet shining: “I am a bigger fish.” To which Jaron responded beautifully. Lomachenko would appreciate it.

In the meantime, the American top coach explained why you shouldn’t name the favorite in the Spence vs Ennis fight, but he named it anyway. And Jaron did not hide his goal in boxing – he was not insolent.
