Russian heavyweight Alexander Emelianenko announced his readiness to fight with the famous compatriot, former Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko.
The fight can be organized by the president of the AMC Fight Nights league, Kamil Gadzhiev.
“Idea — a bomb,” Gadzhiev said about the potential confrontation between Emelianenko and Shlemenko in an interview with Sport24. — They are stylistically [подходят друг другу], they can fight on their hands – arms and legs, less wrestling. And they are both legends. And what a sign will be: Emelianenko and Shlemenko! People will go crazy.”
“I’m ready,” Emelianenko answered briefly when asked about a possible fight against Shlemenko.
In the main event of the AMC Fight Nights 106 tournament, which will be held on November 27 in Syktyvkar, Emelianenko will face Brazilian middleweight Marcio Santos in the heavyweight category.
Shlemenko is currently on contract with Khabib Nurmagomedov’s EFC league. It is expected that in March next year, Shlemenko will fight for the champion belt.
