Emelianenko and Datsik: revenge match rules and new fight date announced

The rematch between Alexander Emelianenko and Vyacheslav Datsik will take place two weeks later than planned.

Representatives of the Ural FC league have officially announced that the confrontation between the Russian heavyweights will be the main attraction of the Ural FC 7 tournament in Moscow on April 12.

According to the rules, the fighters will hold a five-round boxing match in the cage with mixed martial arts gloves. The duration of one round is two minutes. Originally, the fight between Emelianenko and Datsik was scheduled to take place at the end of March.

Both heavyweights are back in action after serious health issues. Emelianenko, 42, spent much of last year being treated for alcohol addiction at the Iman rehabilitation center in Ingushetia, while Datsik, 44, was bitten by a dog in January this year and nearly lost his arm as a result.

Keep in mind that the boxing match between the Russian heavyweights, which took place in September 2022 at the Hardcore Boxing tournament, ended in the 12th second, with Datsik winning by knockout, and two weeks later, “Red Tarzan” knocked out Emelianenko at the league’s press conference as part of the “Minute” column.
