Emelianenko and Datsik rematch regulations and new fight date announced

The rematch between Alexander Emelianenko and Vyacheslav Datsik will take place two weeks later than scheduled.

Ural FC league representatives officially announced that the confrontation between Russian heavyweights will headline the Ural FC 7 tournament in Moscow on April 12.

According to the regulations, the fighters will hold a five-round boxing match in the cage with mixed martial arts gloves. The duration of a round is two minutes. Initially it was planned that the fight between Emelianenko and Datsik will take place at the end of March.

Both heavyweights are returning to action after serious health problems. Emelianenko, 42, spent much of last year being treated for alcohol addiction at the Iman rehabilitation center in Ingushetia, while Datsik, 44, was bitten by a dog in January of this year, nearly losing his arm as a result.

Recall that the boxing match between the Russian heavyweights, which took place in September 2022 at the Hardcore Boxing tournament, ended as early as the 12th second with Datsik winning by knockout, and two weeks later “Red Tarzan” sent Emelianenko to a knockdown at the league’s press conference as part of the “Minute” column.
