According to the Spanish-Georgian fighter, he expects to return to the octagon in October or November, and headline the debut event of the world’s strongest league in Spain. Topuria said in an interview with Spanish television.

According to available information, the management of Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu stadium has already confirmed its readiness to host a UFC tournament this fall.

On the eve of the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez publicly promised Elijah Topuria to solve the problem with his citizenship and give the fighter a Spanish passport.

Recall that on February 17 at UFC 298 in Anaheim, Elijah Topuria knocked out Alexander Volkanovski in the second round, taking away from the Australian champion UFC featherweight belt and ranked fifth in the rankings of the best fighters of the organization regardless of weight category.
