Elijah Topuria has broken into the top five fighters in the UFC

New UFC featherweight champion Elijah Topuria, coming off an early victory over Alexander Volkanovski this past weekend, broke into the organization’s top fighter rankings regardless of weight class, coming in at number five.

The Australian dropped three spots in the rankings, while former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman lost his spot in the top 15 of the UFC’s P4P list, which continues to be led by Russian Islam Makhachev.

In the rankings of the organization’s welterweight division, Alexander Volkanovski took the first line, displacing Max Holloway, who in turn moved to the third position Yair Rodriguez.

Undefeated Russian Movsar Evloev, who is one of the candidates for a fight with Elijah Topuria, remained at number five on the list of the best UFC welterweights.

Recall that the featherweight title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Ilia Topuria, headlined by the UFC 298 event in Anaheim, ended at the 3:32 mark of the second round with a knockout victory for the Spanish-Georgian fighter.
