Dustin Puryear’s next opponent in the UFC has been officially announced

UFC lightweight division number three Dustin Porye will compete at UFC 299, and the American’s opponent will be Frenchman Benoit Saint-Denis, ranked twelfth in the rankings.

The bout will be the second most important event of the numbered event and will have a five-round format, as officially announced by the head of the UFC, Dana White.

Dustin Porier, 34, last stepped into the octagon last July, losing by second-round knockout to Justin Gaethje in a challenger’s bout.

Benoit St. Denis, 28, is riding a streak of five early wins in the UFC, knocking out Matt Frevola in his last fight as early as the first round.

UFC 299 will take place March 9 in Miami, and its main event will be a featherweight title fight between Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera.
