Promoter Don King (Don King Production) in November signed a contract with German-born cruiser Noel Gevor (aka Noel Mikaelyan, 26-2, 11 KOs) playing for Germany.
It is with Gevor that another King fighter will defend the WBC title – world champion Ilunga Makabu (29-2, 25 KOs) from the DRC. The fight will take place on January 21 at the arena Casino Miami Jai Alai (Miami, USA).
In the words of the once coolest promoter in boxing, “two of the best cruisers on the planet will meet in the ring.”
The opening act will be a heavyweight match between two other fighters of the age promoter – 44-year-old ex-world champion Bermain Stivern (25-5-1, 21 KOs) from Canada will fight with American ex-chapter Jonathan Guidry (18-1-2, 11 KO).
