Toyota Arena, Ontario, California, USA. American John Ramirez (10-0, 8 KOs) knocked out
Hana Salvatierra (8-1, 4 KOs) from Mexico and became the owner of the vacant NABA North American champion belt in the second flyweight (up to 52.2 kg).

Already in the opening round, Ramirez shook Salvatierra, rushed to finish him off and knocked him out of the ring – it was lucky that the falling Mexican was somehow held by a photographer who happened to be in the thick of things, because otherwise everything could end sadly.

Ramirez KO 1.

Japanese-born American featherweight prospect (up to 57.2 kg)
Katsuma Akitsugi (10-0, 2 KOs) beat the gatekeeper
Jose Santos Gonzalez (23-10-1, 13 KOs) from Mexico.

Gonzalez tried to work as the first number, and Akitsugi demonstrated that he was very good in counterattacks – he failed, countered, developed. After three one-sided rounds in the 4th three-minute period, the fighters collided heads, a cut appeared on the face of the underdog. Not to say that it is very dangerous, but still.

It seemed that they would count the cards of the judges, but for some reason they gave an early victory to a native of Japan. Apparently they decided that Gonzalez could continue the fight, but refused.
