Teofimo Lopez Sr., father and coach of former unified lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez Jr., believes that the current undisputed division champion Devin Haney (29-0, 15 KOs) will not be able to cope with Ukrainian ex-champion in three categories Vasyl Lomachenko (17 -2, 11 KOs) in their upcoming duel.
True, provided that Lomachenko will show the same level as in the fight lost to Lopez in October 2020.
“Look, I think Lomachenko is winning this fight,” Teofimo said. Devin Haney just doesn’t do enough to win his fights. All he does is throw the jab and stay in range. But against Lomachenko, he can’t do all that shit. Unless, of course, he will fight with the same Lomachenko, with whom we fought.
Recall that the Haney-Lomachenko fight is tentatively scheduled for May 20.
Did you know that Haney is bigger than Terence Crawford?
