Deiveson Figueredo will face Rob Font

Former UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueredo will make his lightweight debut on Dec. 2, and his opponent will be Rob Font, ranked seventh in the division.

Informed sources close to the situation said of the fight’s organization.

Deiveson Figueredo has spent his last four fights in the UFC against Brandon Moreno, in confrontations with whom he twice lost the championship belt. The last fight with the Mexican, which was a unification bout and took place in January of this year, ended in a TKO loss for the 35-year-old Brazilian after a doctor examined his closed eye at the end of the third round and recommended that the referee stop the bout.

Rob Font, 36, has had two fights this year, finishing Adrian Yaniz by technical knockout in April and losing by unanimous decision to Corey Sandhagen in August. With the win over Yaniz, the American closed out two losses by judges’ decisions in fights against Jose Aldo and Marlon Vera.
