A bout between former UFC champions, Deiveson Figueredo and Cody Garbrandt, will be part of the UFC 300 anniversary event on April 13 in Las Vegas.
Informed sources close to the situation said of the lightweight matchup.
Last December, Deiveson Figueredo made a successful debut in the UFC’s flyweight division, winning a unanimous decision over Rob Font after three rounds in dominant fashion.
Cody Garbrandt goes on a two-fight win streak, winning by unanimous decision over Trevin Jones, and knocking out Brian Kelleher in the first round.
Deiveson Figueredo is currently ranked eighth in the UFC’s lightweight rankings, and Cody Garbrandt is not a top-15 fighter in the division.
