Davis pleaded guilty. To a possible prison – about 50 days

Lightweight puncher Gervonta Davis (28-0, 26 KOs) pleaded guilty to four counts in a November 2020 traffic accident that injured four people, including a pregnant woman.

These are the points:

– leaving the scene of the accident with bodily injuries;
– failure to report damage to property;
– driving with a revoked license;
– Running a red light.

After Davis pleaded guilty, Baltimore District Court Judge Althea Handy said he was doing so “without agreement on what punishment will be imposed at sentencing.” She previously refused to approve a plea deal that would have allowed Gervonte to avoid jail time and instead spend 60 days under house arrest.

American top boxer to be sentenced on May 5, writes ESPN. Davis, 28, left the courtroom on February 16 without comment to the media.

Bradley: “Davis is not a man, but a piece of shit!”

The prosecution alleges that on November 5, 2020, around 2 a.m., Davis left a club in downtown Baltimore, got into a Lamborghini, ran a red light and crashed into a Toyota Solara. According to the prosecution, Davis saw the victims, but did not come to the rescue.

The then-pregnant victim, who declined to comment after Davis pleaded guilty, is due to testify before his sentencing.

Davis is also due to appear in court Feb. 23 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on charges of minor domestic violence with bodily harm. He pleaded not guilty after allegedly “slapping” the mother of his one-year-old daughter. She later asked the court to drop the charges in a sworn letter.

Now Gervonta is close to a deal for a super fight against Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs), which is scheduled for April 15 in Las Vegas. That is, the duel in any case will have time to hold. But Garcia fears that the fight with Davis will fall through due to his problems with the law.

On February 13, Gervonta was seen in a wheelchair.
