Darren Till announces retirement from UFC

British fighter Darren Till commented on the news of his dismissal from the UFC, saying that he was released from the contract at his personal request.

“Hey folks, what’s going on in there?” the former UFC welterweight title contender posted on the social media. “I still have everything even with Dana White and Hunter Campbell. I asked the UFC to fire me just to deal with some bullshit in the near future. They gladly agreed to release me from the contract, and I appreciate it. I’m not going anywhere, I have big plans and I’ll be back”

Previously informed sources reported that Darren Till, as well as Russian Zubaira Tukhugov, are no longer fighters in the strongest league in the world.

30-year-old Darren Till has been in the UFC since 2015, winning six wins under the banner of the organization, suffering five losses, and another fight with his participation ended in a draw.

After a failed attempt to take the UFC welterweight title from Tyron Woodley, followed by a knockout loss to Jorge Masvidal, the Briton moved up to middleweight, where he defeated Kelvin Gastelum by split decision, and then suffered three defeats in a row in confrontations with Robert Whittaker, Derek Brunson , and Dricus Du Plessis.
