Daniel Cormier named the greatest fighters in the history of MMA

Former double UFC champion, Daniel Cormier, named the four best fighters in the history of mixed martial arts, not forgetting to include Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov in this list.

“The first number is Hoyes Gracie,” the American said in the next edition of his analytical program on ESPN. “He was the guy who beat everyone in the open weight class and put the sport on the map at the very beginning of history. Number two is Chuck Liddell. He’s been the face of the UFC for a very long time, and if you know the sport, you know Chuck Liddell. Number three is Georges St-Pierre. And the fourth is the Dagestani “Eagle” Khabib Nurmagomedov, because he is the only guy in the sport who left undefeated.

Note that all the fighters named by Cormier have completed their professional careers. The last to do so in 2020 was Khabib Nurmagomedov, who announced his resignation after a unification fight with American Justin Gaethje.

Last year, Daniel Cormier presented a list of the best fighters in history, combining representatives of MMA and boxing, in which the undefeated Russian was in second place, beating the legendary Muhammad Ali.
