Dana White reacted to the beating of a fan by Sean Strickland

UFC President, Dana White, commented on the news that Sean Strickland punched an out of shape fan, Israel Adesanya, in the stomach who approached the American middleweight with insults.

“Do you know who the news came from that he punched the fan?”, White asked reporters at a press conference in Las Vegas. “Yeah, the news came from him. I assume he was goofing around more than talking seriously – as far as I’m concerned, things are even between him and that fan. Anyway, I knew what this week was going to be like and we’re ready for it. Yeah, he’ll always have people around him now, so he won’t be punching people in the stomach anymore, either jokingly or seriously”

Earlier, the UFC middleweight title challenger spoke to reporters about the incident, complaining that people freely throw insults online and in person because they don’t fear repercussions.

As a reminder, the middleweight title fight between Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland will be the main event of UFC 293, which takes place on September 9 in Sydney.
