Dana White made a statement about the Chimaev and Adesanya fight

UFC head, Dana White, commented on the information that a middleweight fight between Hamzat Chimaev and Israel Adesanya will be the main event of the organization’s debut event in Saudi Arabia, which will take place on June 22 in Riyadh.

The day before, the announcement of the bout was posted on a fake website of the Kingdom Arena, which is set to host the event. Moreover, the fraudsters opened ticket sales for the show.

“It’s not going to happen. It was a fake publication. All the media who fell for it are in big trouble. Absolute clowns,” the head of the world’s strongest league wrote in a social network.

Recall that the debut UFC tournament in Saudi Arabia was scheduled for March 2, however, the organization decided to postpone the event, according to rumors, because the host was not satisfied with the weak composition of its participants.

Israel Adesanya last stepped into the octagon last September, sensationally losing by unanimous decision to Sean Strickland and losing his UFC middleweight championship belt.

The undefeated Khamzat Chimaev earned his seventh UFC victory last October with a three-round majority decision over former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.
