Dana White explained Fedor Emelianenko’s appearance in a UFC game

UFC President Dana White commented on the news that legendary Russian heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko will be one of the playable characters in the new release of EA SPORTS’ “UFC 5” fighting simulator.

“Yes, Fedor is in the game and we didn’t have to fly to the island this time,” White said with a laugh at a press conference in Sydney in response to a reporter’s pertinent question. “How did that happen? I don’t know. I suppose he just wanted to be in the game. Or we paid him an obscene amount of money. Either one or the other.”

Information about the presence of “The Last Emperor” in the next version of the game was revealed by the official trailer presented last week. In addition to MMA fighters, the game features digital images of legendary boxers Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson.

Earlier, Dana White repeatedly said that he considers the failed negotiations with Fedor Emelianenko his biggest professional failure.

Recall that 46-year-old Fedor Emelianenko in February this year made an unsuccessful attempt to take away the Bellator heavyweight title from American Ryan Bader, defeated by technical knockout in the first round, after which he announced the end of his professional career.
