Dan Hooker challenged Rafael Fisiev

No. 10 ranked UFC lightweight Dan Hooker plans to return to the octagon on June 29 at UFC 303 in Las Vegas, and wants to see the division’s eighth-ranked Rafael Fisiev as his next opponent.

“I’m looking forward to June, International Fight Week,” the New Zealand fighter told Sky Sports NZ. “I look at the rankings and I think, ‘Who does nobody want to fight?’ Fiziev comes to mind. I don’t think anyone wants to fight Fiziev. Who’s stupid enough to put their hand up and challenge for that fight? That guy is me.”

If the fight with “Ataman” cannot be organized, Hooker is ready to share the octagon with Renato Moicano, who sits at the thirteenth position in the rankings.

“Moicano is coming off a big win over Drew Dober in his previous fight. I think I can easily get him as an opponent and will be quite pleased. It’s an exciting fight.”

Dan Hooker is riding a two-fight win streak, having knocked out Claudio Puelles and won a split decision over Jalin Turner, while Rafael Fiziev, on the other hand, has lost two fights in a row, losing by majority decision to Justin Gaethje and suffering a severe knee injury against Mateusz Gamrot.
