Cyril Gan was robbed during his fight against Sergei Spivak

While Cyril Gan was declassifying Sergey Spivak at the Accor Arena in Paris, intruders broke into the French heavyweight’s home and took out more than 150,000 euros worth of belongings.

Police arrived on the scene on Sunday morning, recording the break-in and theft of the front door, Le Parisian reported. The stolen items reportedly included a Rolex watch and jewelry. At the same time, an anonymous source claims that the perpetrators were likely set upon by someone in the former UFC interim champion’s entourage with knowledge of his schedule.

Recall that this past weekend at UFC Fight Night 226 in Paris, Cyril Gan defended his second-straight UFC heavyweight title by finishing Moldavian representative Sergey Spivak by technical knockout in the second round. In doing so, the Frenchman put his career back on track after losing his title fight against Jon Jones, to whom he lost by guillotine choke in the first round in March of this year.
