Former UFC interim heavyweight champion Cyril Gun, who is set to share the octagon with Sergey Spivak as early as this weekend, has no plans to take his fight with “Polar Bear” to a judges’ decision.
“This weekend I want to give a master class, give a perfect performance, and I will do everything I can to do that,” the Frenchman said in a pre-fight interview. “I want to finish the fight early and please the fans.”
“I think the best option for Sergey is to move the fight to the parterre. That’s his best option in any fight because he’s really good at it. So yeah, one hundred percent – in the first second of the first round, he’s going to try to do that. He’s going to try to go for the knockdown, I’m sure of it.”
“I made some mistakes in the fight with Jon Jones. I should have started my game earlier and it was impossible to fix it because the fight was over. Now my task is to turn on from the first second of the first round.”
Recall that the heavyweight fight between Cyril Gagne and Sergey Spivak will be the main event of UFC Fight Night 226, which will take place on September 2 in Paris.
